How to connect to Outside Networks

How to connect to non-Norwich networks using Cisco AnyConnect

 

1) Please bring up this screen by starting Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client:

2) Please select the gearbox on the lower left-hand corner of the window. The following window should appear:

3) Please select the 'Network' option. The following window should appear:

4) Please select 'Add'. The following window should appear:

5) Please change 'WPA2 Enterprise AES' to 'WPA2 Personal AES' by clicking into the dropdown box. The following screen should appear:

6) The 'Descriptive Name' field is simply what you want to call your new network; it does not have to be the same as what your network is actually called. The SSID field is what appears on your router (i.e. 'TDS4299' or 'MySpectrumWifi - 5G'). The 'Key' field is the password required to log in. Once you are done filling out the fields, please select 'Ok'. You can now exit out all Cisco windows except for the first, where you choose networks. 

7) Simply select your network and you are connected!
