Body

Secure W2 For Android Devices

Norwich IT working with our Vendors has enabled a simpler way to access Norwich wireless resources. Instead of using your Norwich credentials, you can install a certificate that completes authentication to the network for you.  The advantage of Certificate-based authentication is not having to update your password on your device every time you change it.

  1. Head to the Norwich SSO Dashboard (http://sso.norwich.edu) on your Android device. You can also go to http://wifi.norwich.edu.

  1. Launching the SecureW2 app from your Norwich SSO Launchpad will redirect you to the SecureW2 website.

  2. What will be presented to you on the screen is the option to download and install the "App."

  1. Upon launching the application on your device you will be redirected to a Microsoft authentication sequence.

  1. After you complete authentication it will download the certificate to your phone.
  2. Upon downloading the certificate to the Android device it will automatically connect to Norwich Wi-Fi.

  1. Please take this time to delete the guest Wi-Fi from your Wireless Preferences.
