Making a My.Norwich Post

Summary

Article with Guidelines for my.norwich posters.

Body

To ensure clear and consistent communication across our campus community, we are implementing new guidelines for posting on the my.norwich platform and daily announcements.

Guidelines for posting:

  1. It is important that each department is represented by an individual responsible for postings on the my.norwich platform as well as daily announcements. Managers should request access for their employees (no more than two per department) by submitting a ticket with this link.
  2. Information Technology Services (ITS) provides access and tutorial sessions for future contributors. However, the responsibility of publishing announcements for individual departments, faculty, or staff does not fall under ITS jurisdiction.
  3. This platform has been designed as a text-only format. It is not equipped to properly handle the distribution of images or PDF documents as part of the body of the message.
  4. The first 300 characters of the post will show up in the email announcement. After that, a View More Here link will be amended to the post and bring those who click on it to the full post in Sharepoint.
  5. In order to enhance the overall user experience and promote uniformity in message delivery, we kindly request that you utilize the default font (Body) , size (13px), and color (black). This prevents any discrepancies caused by needless formatting changes. Avoid using the ‘copy and paste’ method to maintain the intended display formatting. For consistency, please limit your text to the default color. Do not use tables in your postings.
  6. All messages MUST be set to expire two weeks from posting.

Postings that do not meet the above guidelines are subject to deletion without notice. Repeated violations of the above guidelines will result in your posting privileges being removed.
