How To: Print From Personal macOS Computers

Summary

This article describes how to download and set up the new PaperCut Mobility Print application for users on NON-managed macOS computers.
This should only be installed on personal macOS devices that are NOT managed by Norwich ITS.
Norwich-owned and managed macOS users should use the Print Deploy application on their computer to add printers.

This article will give you the steps to download the  Mobility Print Client for personal macOS computers.

Note: This method will not work for iOS or iPadOS! You must follow the iOS/iPadOS instructions found here.

 

  1. In your chosen browser, go to byodprint.norwich.edu
  2. Click on "Download and run Mobility Print"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Allow the downloadUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Wait for the download to finish & click on it to run itUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Install the Mobility Print Software
    1. Double click the package to run itUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    2. Click "Continue"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    3. Click "Agree"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    4. Click "Install"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    5. Authenticate with password or fingerprintUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    6. Allow administrator accessUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    7. wait for the software to installUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    8. Click "Close"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    9. Click "Move to Trash"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. Go back to your browser window, where you downloaded the Mobility print software and click "Connect and get my printersUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. Click "Allow" on the "Do you want this website to open PaperCut Mobility Print Client"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  8. Wait
  9. Open your printer list inside "System Settings" and you should see a large list of new printersUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  10. You're done!
