How To: Print from a Norwich-managed Windows Computer

PrintDeploy is for Norwich-issued computers given to faculty and staff

If you are a member of faculty or staff and have a Norwich-Issued computer, these are the directions for adding a printer to your computer using PrintDeploy.

Windows

  1. Open the hidden icons in the System Tray. This is the up arrow in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, near the clock.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Click on the green printer iconUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Choose "View My Printers"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Click "Add Printers" in the PrintDeploy window that pops upUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Use the search bar to find the printer you want, and click the green Install button to add it to your computerUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. You will now be able to see the printer listed in "My Printers"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. The printer will now show up while printing. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Mac

  1. Find the Green Printer Icon on the top left of the Manu Bar, near the date/time.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Click it to reveal the menu and choose "View My Printers"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Choose "Add Printers" on the sidebarUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Use the search to find the printer you would like to addUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Click the Install button beside your chosen printer. (For example, I'm adding Jucket_MFP_101)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    1. PaperCut Print Deploy Client may ask you to log in. Click the "Sign in to install" buttonUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    2. Sign in with your Norwich username (everything before the @norwich.edu) and passwordUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    3. The printer will install
  6. Click on the "My Printers" buttonUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. Now you can see a list of all printers you have installed, and remove them if you need using the trash can iconUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  8. To print, simply choose the printer from the list. Here is the printer in Microsoft Word, for example.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
