How To: Access the Math Placement Exam

The Math Placement Exam is required for all Norwich University students.
The assessment and its results provide guidance during advising on what classes to place you in.

Steps to access the Math Placement Exam:

Navigate to UnifyNU, https://unify.norwich.edu. If you do not know how to get there, follow this guide: norwich.fyi/unify
Once you see the UnifyNU page, click Academics in the navigation bar at the top of the page
Locate the experience card labelled 'Brightspace - D2L' and click the logo inside the card
On the Brightspace home page, scroll down to find the My Courses section, and look for the course titled 'Math Placement Exam [YEAR-YEAR]'
The 'YEAR-YEAR' will be the academic year the placement exam is good for
If you cannot locate it, click View All Courses and look for it there.
If you still do not see the Math Placement Exam, email casa@norwich.edu
After clicking the link to the course, you should see this page
Scroll down to Course Content and Click on “Welcome to the Math Placement!”
Start by watching the video, and then complete the five steps.
When you have completed all five steps, you can check your Math Placement by clicking on the “Grades” tab.
