Alert: Repair Network Connection on a Personal Device After Certificate Authority Update

On Friday, October 30th, ITS updated the security certificate that lets devices connect to the campus network. The old certificate expired on November 1st, so this update had to happen.

We made every attempt to make this transition seamless, but there were underlying hurdles that made that impossible, including a recent Microsoft Windows update that changes how personal computers connect to wired networks. We’ve built a fix for that change into our updated network connection profile tool at wifi.norwich.edu. From now on, if you plug your personal computer into a wired (Ethernet) port, you’ll need to use that same setup tool to connect.

At this time, the only way to reconnect is by reconnecting from scratch, either by using your username and current password, or by reinstalling the updated network connection profile and certificates found at wifi.norwich.edu.
