How to Find Your IP Address

Windows

  • Click the Start Menu Button in the lower left
  • Your cursor will already be in the search box. Type "cmd" and press Enter.
  • When the Command Line opens, type:
ipconfig /all
  • Press Enter.
  • Look for the IP address you want to use. If you're connected to the network via an ethernet cable, it will likely be labelled as Ethernet. If you're on wifi, it will probably be labelled as Wireless.
  • Look for the IPv4 Address.
  • If you're not sure which IPv4 Address you need, you can always take a screenshot and attach it to your ticket using the Attachment field.

macOS

  • Click the Apple button in the upper left corner.
  • Select System Preferences, or System Settings on MacOS Ventura or higher.
  • Click Network.
  • On the left, be sure to select the connection you are currently using. It will have a green circle next to it.
  • In the middle of the Window, your IP Address will be listed.
