How to Take a Screenshot

Windows

  • Click the Start Menu Button in the lower left
  • Your cursor will already be in the search box. Type "Snipping Tool" and press Enter.
  • When the Snipping Tool opens, click New on the left side of the window.
  • Select the area of your screen that you would like to capture.
  • After your selection is complete, click the Black Floppy Disk Save Icon.
  • Choose where you would like to save your screenshot and what you'd like to name it, and then click Save.

macOS

  • On your keyboard, press Command + Shift + 4.
  • Select the area of your screen that you would like to capture.
  • The selection will automatically be saved to your desktop as a .png file.
Please Note: These are the only two approved screen capture tools.
